It’s the wee hours of the morning, I’m keeping this short. When I saw in the paper, today, that police body cameras, i.e., personal attachment cameras, were going to cost the City of Federal Way a million dollars a year, I got upset. I read, in another edition, there was going to be audio as well, which means absolutely no privacy for our officers. We don’t need body cameras or audio recordings in Federal Way, this is not a big metropolis. What we need is to respect and trust our policemen and policewomen, and cameras are pretty much everywhere, anyway. Who do they think is going to do this job if these asinine politicians who couldn’t get through a kid’s obstacle course keep making life harder for police? Not to mention that crazy state law they passed this year. Nobody, that’s who.
